Our key focal point is – always – the customer, and all of our business, from the store layout down to our services, is centered around the customer. With an ambitious expansion plan, ABYAT’s first store was opened in Kuwait in March 2008. With Kuwait as the company’s launch pad, ABYAT is actively pursuing starting operations in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar and Oman over the coming 10 years. The first branch in the GCC area opened in Dammam, KSA in 2012.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the maintenance and servicing of the company’s fleet of vehicles.
  • Ensure all vehicles are in proper working condition and compliant with safety regulations.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external service providers for repairs, maintenance, and inspections.
  • Monitor fuel consumption, vehicle utilization, and overall fleet performance.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize fleet efficiency and reduce costs.

Vehicle Procurement and Disposal:

  • Coordinate the procurement process for new vehicles, including negotiating with suppliers and arranging for vehicle delivery.
  • Manage vehicle registration, insurance, and licensing requirements.
  • Facilitate the disposal of old or non-operational vehicles in compliance with company policies and legal regulations.

Fleet Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle information, including registration, insurance, and maintenance history.
  • Generate reports on fleet performance, maintenance costs, and other relevant metrics.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
  • Provide regular updates to management regarding fleet operations and performance.

Compliance and Safety:

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable transportation laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Implement safety programs and procedures to minimize accidents and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and training for drivers to promote safe driving practices.

Team Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with other departments, such as logistics and customer service, to ensure efficient fleet operations that support overall business objectives.
  • Communicate effectively with drivers, technicians, and other relevant stakeholders to address fleet-related issues and provide support.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience in fleet management or a related role, preferably in a retail or logistics environment.
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair processes.
  • Familiarity with fleet management software and tools for tracking and reporting.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of local transportation laws and regulations.
  • Valid driver’s license.
