The General Accountant is responsible for all financial activities, preparing profit and loss statements reports, and applying accounting principles and procedures.

  • Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
  • Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivables’ data
  • Prepare bills, invoices, and bank deposits
  • Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
  • Verify discrepancies by and resolve clients’ billing issues
  • Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients
  • Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status
  • Understand expense accounts and cost centers
  • Understand compliance issues around accounts payable processes (W-9, sales tax, etc.)
  • Determining fixed costs (e.g. salaries, rent, and insurance)
  • Collect cost information and maintain an expense database
  • Plan and record variable costs (e.g. purchases of raw material and operations costs)
  • Prepare budgeting reports (for the company and each department)
  • Analyze and report profit margins
  • Prepare (monthly, quarterly, and annual) cost forecasts
  • Assisting in month-end and year-end closing
  • BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration or relevant study
  • Experience from 3 to 5 years
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Epicor, and others
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in English and in MS Office
  • Understands financial reporting and has strong analytical skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multi-task simultaneously.
